Where in the World is Knox – 11/17/11
17 Nov
I recently spent some quality time rounding with folks in our clinical laboratory. As you see in the photographs, the laboratory is an impressive space in its own right and the work we do within the lab is important to the future of health. During my rounds, I learned about digital imaging and telepathology, which, if I have this right, can help identify predictive cancer markers. I also learned about how our work in the clinical laboratory enables real-time remote consultations and interpretations. It’s easy to get distracted by the urgent matters before us day-to-day, but I’m realizing how important clinical laboratory services are for the future of health and well-being. Many thanks to the clinical lab team for hosting me!
